My new car

Alright, so I got a nice new (used) car. I am loving it quite a bit. It is a 2006 Toyota Highlander...it actually has really low miles. It is pretty freaking cool!

Two Guys Pretend To Make-Out Behind CNN Reporter During This Mornings Broadcast

This was two guys from Howard Stern.

Things Happening

Ok some things going on in my life.....I will be posting about soon. For one I got a new car. I pick it up tomorrow. Started a new diet....its okay except at night and oatmeal seriously just lacks any flavor. I am trying hard to find more time to create. I have my first Jewelry Party coming up on 10/18/08 and I am so very excited and scared all at the same time. I am working hard on new pieces and my presentation. I will be posting more about these in the days to come. Thought I would include a little tidbit from my kids.

Asa has a friend over and they like to play the Xbox and webkinz. They play with Jaya the little sister a little bit. She does not have a friend over. She is bopping the boys with her Barbies while they are playing Xbox and overall just giving them hell. Asa tells her to go play by herself. She responds with, “I don't have any friends over or anyone to play with. I don't want to go play by myself. You just like playing by yourself because you are a WEIRDO"! Now I was in the bathroom which has a door to my son's room doing laundry when I heard this and honestly it just cracked me up. I could not help laughing out loud.

Stress Management

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water? Answers called out ranged from 20g. to 500g.The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.

"Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.

If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

If you lend someone $20 & never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply, be kind to others.

Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

The second mouse gets the cheese.

When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Dieting

I just wanted to add that DIETING is HELL!! Seriously. Yes, I really do want that cookie. My Dad was telling my son the old saying "A minute on your lips, an eternity on your hips". I made sure to add my two cents of "You only live once". Probably not the best advice but hey chocolate chip cookies are that good.

Back to School

Well now I officially have 2 kids in school. This is kind of sad for me because I can remember when Asa started kindergarten and now he is a big boy in 4th grade. I can not believe my little Jaya is now in kindergarten. They grow up so fast. I am not too worried about her though, she is tiny but boy does she have spunk! I feel so proud to have such wonderful smart kids. Asa was just elected to Student Council for the second year in a row. He had to give a little speech, this is what he said "I am a great historian and I am very funny. I already have experience on the Student Council. This is why I think you should vote for me." Such a good boy! Jaya was asked by the principal what she wanted to learn in school this year, she replied with "I want to learn how to drive". Hopefully that will not happen! This is just the beginning of the year so I am sure that will be more funnies. Thanks to my great kids for all the wonderful times.
